Halloween is Only 361 Days Away
It’s never too early to plan for next Halloween. It’s only 361 days away and the countdown starts now.
So after 5 or 7 or 9 years of buying costumes, you should have a decent wardrobe for next year. If you have enough, you might be able to take one part from one costume and another part from another costume and even make a ‘new’ costume.
If you don’t have enough bits and pieces to make another costume, this is a great time to ‘buy forward, so to speak.
The Halloween shops have probably closed, packed and vacated your city by now; but if you have a local costume shop, they may or may not be willing to wheel and deal. No merchant wants to carry over their inventory until next season.
Some merchants have up to a 60% off of selected items for a limited time. You might want to take a look before these deals go away. Or check our Amazon Halloween costume store (look for the tab below our banner). If we find any, we will post them today or in a day or so.
And guess what’s coming up soon? More Thanksgiving stuff on our Amazon Store. Click tab right below the banner on top of this page.

Visit to a Costume Shop
Coming Verrrry Soon!
The next several days will devoted to visiting an actual, real life costume shop. From that point on, we will go into specific areas of history, geography, literature and more areas to help you find the right costume for your Halloween event. Short of money? We have an answer for that. Plus size? We have an answer for that as well. Visit to a Costume Shop coming up
A few notes on the “Visit to a Costume Shop” follow:
Please visit us to see our four part video tour of a costume shop.
Caveat 1 – Each of the four parts is about 4 (or so) minutes long.
Caveat 2 – The first video is more informational, as to how and where to find your local costume shop.
Caveat 3 – The last video may be at the top (as they were loaded sequentially, or not). so you might want to start at the third or fourth down, and work your way back up.

Transparency and a Disclaimer
Oops! This should have been published a month ago. Anyhow, this is our disclaimer.
Beginning shortly, we will begin to process some thoughts that will help you make a decision as to what you might want to wear to your Halloween costume party.
In the meantime, you might want to simply visit one of our ‘sponsors’ Just click on ads in the right column or the tab above which says ‘Amazon Costume Store’ and you will find many, many costumes; and the one you are looking for will probably be there. At this time, availability as to quantity, size and whatever other parameters you might use should be there. In two-three weeks, who knows? OK, enough on the blantant sale pitch. Also we get a commission on every Amazon sale that is made through us. You are not buying FROM us, but rather through Amazon. Is that enough transparency?
Wearing costumes is a romantic way to express your affection for your significant other on Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re looking for adult Halloween costumes, kids Halloween costumes – or costumes, and accessories for any occasion – you will find what you need here.
In addition to plus size Valentine’s Day costumes, you will also find that the costume companies also have Valentine’s Day decorations for your home, car, dorm room, office, and even a car. It’s quite romantic to go out to your car and see a Valentine’s Day decoration on the windshield (just be sure to sign it so that she/he knows that it’s from you.).
Retailers around the world push traditional gifts such as heart-shaped chocolates, cards, flowers, and jewelry, but what women really want oftentimes gets blurred out from all the marketing that goes on before Valentine’s Day.
A young lady that has in mind sexy Valentine’s Day gift ideas when looking for a gift for her husband or boyfriend can simplify things by waiting at home for her mate dressed in one of Valentine’s Day outfits from Halloween Mart.
Valentines Day outfits come in a variety of styles that include naughty Cupid costumes, Be Mine Cupid outfits, Queen of Hearts costumes, Queen of Broken Hearts outfits, petticoat dresses, satin garter dresses, camo cutie costumes, and sexy school girl costumes.
Women that prefer wearing Valentine’s Day lingerie for the holiday could dress up in a Valentine heart chemise, Valentine heart bra and tanga set, Daisy Mae pink bra and panty set, polka dot bra and thong set, or one of many other styles of Valentines Day lingerie.
For something a little more intimate, check out the huge selection of Valentine’s Day Lingerie They make a great gift whether you are the one giving or receiving because both of you will reap the benefits.
Comments Off on Valentines Day, Mardi Gras Party on the Same Weekend?

Just a heads up!
OMG, this is one of the closest Valentine’s Days and Mardi Gras in quite a while. Valentine’s Day is February 14, and Mardi Gras is only two days behind on February 16.
Presumably, most parties will be the previous weekend, and therefore a dilemma. Which one to go to, or worse, what if there is a combination party?
Sorry, can’t help you with this one, but you might start thinking about it now.

Hats! Hats! Hats!
Looking for a theatrical hat for your production, or a period hat for your own use? One of my suppliers specializes in quality theatrical (mostly period/historical) hats for both men and women. How many of these might be used for everyday use so as to look different, be different from everyone else? Caveat: These hats might not be suitable for outdoor use (rain, sleet, snow, etc) Anyhow…Give us a shout!

Over the next few weeks, most of our posts will be about period hats for men and women. The next two posts will be devoted to renaissance hats for women. To come will be the Civil War period, the Victorian period, the Roaring Twenties, the 30’s and 40’s and a scattering of in betweens. Hats, hats and hats will hopefully have a lot of pictures to accentuate the articles.
