Halloween Makeup ♥
Every year, we see the typical ghosts and witches for Halloween and it can get a little boring for regular partiers and candy hunters. Although not everyone likes to be the same thing for Halloween every year, people envy others’ costumes because it was too brain-racking to think of new ideas for ourselves. Ranging from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland-inspired tutorials to Joker’s sinister scars, Happy Potter and The Avengers-inspired eye shadow and even signature anime eyes, here are some great Halloween makeup how-tos and inspirational galleries to help you become the envied one at this year’s Halloween party.
The other day someone asked me what she could be for Halloween that wasn’t slutty. “I have a party to go to, and kids will be there,” she said. “But every costume I see is slutty I even saw a slutty pizza costume!” I told her to wait for this post. The Smurfette makeup look provides maximum impact and not nearly as much effort as you’d think. It’s also about as far from slutty as you can get. Our very own Lindy Segal was game enough to be our oh-so-blue model. Here’s how to copy it.
A simple black, smoky eye can help you achieve any look from a zombie to a vampire to a sultry witch to a punk rocker. To accomplish this, apply a thick line of eyeliner at your lash line. Next, use a smudge eye shadow brush to blend the liner from your lash line up to your crease. Apply a black eye shadow from the lash line, blending up to the crease again to deepen the effect. Then, use a dark brown shadow to blend the harsh black color in your crease, resulting in the desired smoky eye.
